BURLINGTON, NC, Jan. 5, 2022 –This year’s Best of STEM™ Awards winners have been selected by highly qualified, experienced STEM educator judges and email votes from more than 2,500 educators. Carolina is pleased to announce its two winners and one finalist:

  • Winner in the Extended Reality (AR/VR) category, Carolina® Biotechnology Simulator: Bacterial Transformation. The awarding educator judge remarked, “This Virtual Reality space on bacterial transformation is wonderfully complex, allowing students full exploration of the lab space in an open-world concept instead of a single linear path.”
  • Winner in the Best Freebies for STEM category, Carolina Essentials™. According to the awarding educator judge, “Carolina provides so many outstanding free resources for teachers just starting out to those who are experienced. They are my go-to supplier because they are speedy and so helpful whenever I need them.”
  • Finalist in the Hybrid Learning Superhero category, Building Blocks of Science® 3D, Grades Pre-K to 5.

This year’s Best of STEM™ Awards saw more than 50 companies and educational organizations vie for awards in 17 categories.
