Human Female Blood Film Slide, Smear

Item # 309164

Microscope slide of peripheral human female blood; popular in genetics. Stained to show the structure of red and white blood cells, including the drumstick protuberance in white blood cell nuclei.

In stock and available to ship.

Use this microscope slide to study the common anatomy of blood, and pair it with the Human Male Blood Film Slide (item #309170) to examine the differences between male and female human blood cells. The most visible difference is that in female white blood cells, there is a structure called the drumstick protruding from the cells' multi-lobed nuclei. This feature is not present in male white blood cells. Stain may vary between hematoxylin and eosin and Wright's.
