GPI Anatomicals® Miniature Muscled Joint Set

Use this 1/2 life-size, plastic model set to study the form and function of the human shoulder, hip, elbow, and knee joints. Each miniature model conveniently detaches from the base for hands-on examination.

The shoulder joint model includes the clavicle, humerus, and scapula. Muscles depicted include the infraspinatus, subscapularis, supraspinatus, and teres major and minor. Eight ligaments and tendons are also shown. This model allows manipulation of the humerus for rotator cuff demonstration.

The hip joint model depicts the right femur, ilium, pubis, and ischium. Muscles shown include the gluteus medius, gluteus minimus, iliacus, inferior and superior gemellus, obturator internus, piriformis, and psoas. Ligaments are also depicted.

The elbow joint model shows the humerus, radius, and ulna. The biceps brachii, triceps brachii, brachialis, pronator teres, and supinator muscles are shown.

The knee joint model depicts the femur, tibia, fibula, and patella. Other significant structures shown include the rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, and vastus medialis muscles and numerous other tendons and ligaments.

Significant structures are labeled on the included full-color illustrated key card that also detaches from the base. Base size, 27 x 15.9 cm.
