Grades 9–12. Explore how energy moves through an ecosystem. Students analyze the contents of owl pellets and construct ecological pyramids to represent the data collected. After discussing their results, students are then challenged to apply their knowledge by constructing an ecological pyramid based on the foods they themselves eat. Kit includes enough materials for at least 30 students working in groups. Kit Refill replenishes the kit's consumable items (16 large owl pellets).
