Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent slides for learning & viewing live pond organisms These raised concavity slides are perfect for both skilled and unskilled students to examine live microscopic specimens. They are unbreakable, easy to use, and hold enough liquid that specimens do not dry out or heat up during moderate use. The only drawback is that the plastic slide needs to be centered by hand because it is too thin for microscope X/Y axis knobs to center it. An easy solution is to keep a glass microscope slide under the plastic one on the microscope stage. Students need only handle the plastic slide. These plastic concavity slides make a unit on pond organisms easy to teach and fun for all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Planaria I bought these with the Planaria, Daphnae and Hydra Kit. We used them to observe all three creatures under the scope. It is deep enough to allow the organisms to interact and at a very affordable price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I simply taped these to a standard glass slide to use the stage holder, otherwise they are too thin for proper scanning. The raised wells prohibit using higher power objectives for viewing. I also used a very thin bead of clear silicon tubseal to mount a coverslip and create a "permanent" slide of perserved specimens for future references and practical exams.
