Students are presented with an anchoring phenomenon that focuses on the vibration of a speaker and asked to think about what causes this vibration. As they investigate speakers and speaker systems, students explore magnetic forces and the connections between forces, energy, and magnetic fields, to develop an understanding that magnetic fields extend through space.
