Observe excitation transitions of electrons in argon. Designed for advanced or college-level physics to demonstrate the existence of quantized states. Argon tube eliminates tube heating and reduces experiment time. Record the data manually or export to an oscilloscope or computer display. Compact unit includes argon tube, power supplies, amplifier, and instructions in 1 box. The instruction manual contains sample activities and sample data. Needed but not supplied: an oscilloscope or computer.

The Franck-Hertz tube in this instrument is a tetrode filled with argon.
