Two activities explore superabsorbant polymers: the Invisible Crystal, a polymer with the same refractive index as water when hydrated; and the Super Sponge, the material in diapers that can absorb hundreds of times its own weight in water.

The third activity makes slime—is it a solid or a liquid? For the grand finale, turn a liquid into a rubber ball that bounces. Materials are sufficient for 5 demonstrations.
