Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for viewing live specimens plus! We have used these for examining live specimens with everyone from Kindergarteners to college students. They are wonderfully easy to use and safe for young children not only because there is no worry about broken glass, but once filled properly, they are spill-resistant. We been able to use up to a 10X objective on a compound microscope, due to the thickness of these. They would also be great for making collections to use with kids such as small insects, minerals, etc. to keep permanantly on hand but safe from little hands. My only request would be that they be made with a more scratch-resistant plastic so that they last longer. They are a bit expensive to have to replace rapidly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Did not work for our purposes This was to be used for research purposes, in which a sample would be irradiated with UV light. I tried to talk to technical staff to see what the material was specifically and if it would pass UV light, but they seemed mostly clueless and just repeated that it was clear. Went ahead and ordered on the off chance it would work, but it did not. The material they use is completely UV absorptive and was useless for our purposes. Disappointed.
