Have you ever thought about how fortunate you are to have safe and clean water coming out of your faucet? Many people in undeveloped nations don't have this luxury. But does that mean they can't have clean water at all? Is there an inexpensive way they could use to make their own clean water? In this microbiology science fair project, you will investigate whether or not sunlight can disinfect contaminated water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eye droppers are perfect for Cartesian divers My 2nd and 3rd graders loved making the Cartesian divers using a 2 liter clear plastic soda bottle and filling it with water. Then putting just enough water in the eyedropper so when the cap is put on they can squeeze the bottle. The more pressure they put on the bottle the faster it goes. We have contests to see whose eyedropper can drop the fastest. Also who can hold it in the middle the longest. I work outside in an educational environmental setting with no electricity. So when the temperature is 90 degrees Fahrenheit, having the students with their hands and arms in 5 gallon buckets to set the experiment up keeps them cool. It also teaches something about air pressure. The plastic eyedroppers don't work, the glass ones are perfect and much less expensive in bulk than if I would purchase them in a drug store which usually have curved tips and in packs of 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Service! The product is priced very reasonably and the level of customer service is tremendous. I always receive the product on time, well packed and iced. And I receive a detailed invoice every time for my expense reporting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very successful for my science project! I ordered one package of the tryptic soy agar plates for my science project on disinfecting contaminated water. The bacterial colonies that grew on the plates were visible and allowed for substantial data to be collected. I was able to prepare the plates with ease and watched as bacterial colonies grew over the course of 4 days. My science project was very successful, due in part to the success that I had growing the bacteria in these plates. The only downfall was the price, especially shipping, but it is understandable because of the live contents.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use and store The gloves come in a small box which is great for storing large amounts between use but several students have had gloved rip during use which is problematic. However, I'm not sure if the fault lies with the gloved or with the students.
