Had to figure out on my own... but turned it into an educational opportunity, so all was fine in the end and there were indeed plenty of bacteria. We calculated about 3x 10^8 cfu/ml by the way...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nutrient Agar I purchased 3 packs of 10. Each pack had 1 or 2 broken tops; crushed where pieces of the plastic top were stuck in the agar. Fortunately I did not need more than were in great condition.

The plates arrived quickly; however, when we opened the lids, we found mold on three of the ten plates. Happy with everything except the mold.
