This model of the Earth/Sun system demonstrates seasons, eclipses, and phases of the moon. The Sun contains an LED that sends a spot of light onto Earth. As users turn the model's handle, Earth revolves around the Sun, and the Moon revolves around Earth. Earth is also tilted at an angle, vividly demonstrating how the position of Earth's axis determines the seasons of hot and cold. As the Moon rotates around Earth, the LED can illuminate the different phases of the Moon as well as demonstrate the shadow cast by the Moon. Batteries included.
