This digital teacher's manual and student guide is intended for use with the Carolina Investigations® for AP® Environmental Science: Exploring Biodiversity Kit (item #180604). Students Investigate the invertebrate community in their area. The kit uses 3 different labs to demonstrate various methods to collect and evaluate invertebrate diversity. It provides 8 sets of reusable Berlese funnels, evaluates the use of other insect traps, and tests bait as a way to collect and observe insects. Students evaluate diversity by analyzing 3 indices: species richness, Shannon-Wiener, and Simpson's. They use graphing and data analysis to accurately assess the area's insect diversity.
The digital teacher's manual is a 12-month eBook license to the Carolina Investigations® for AP® Environmental Science: Exploring Biodiversity teacher's manual and student guide.
