This digital teacher's manual and student guide is intended for use with the Carolina Investigations® for AP® Environmental Science: Soil Productivity Kit (item #180605). Exploring different characteristics of soil provides insight into how productive it might be for farming purposes. Students conduct experiments on different types of soil to observe and measure properties such as water-holding capacity, ion-exchange capacity, macronutrient content, and particle-size distribution to determine which types soil are the most productive for growing plants. Students then test their hypothesis by planting alfalfa to track success.

The digital teacher's manual is a 12-month eBook license to the Carolina Investigations® for AP® Environmental Science: Soil Productivity teacher's manual and student guide.
