Aquaponics is a rapidly growing industry and hobby that combines traditional aquaculture and modern hydroponic systems. Aquaculture involves raising aquatic animals including fish, snails, crayfish, or other crustaceans, while hydroponics is the process of growing plants without a soil substrate.
