Carolina® Infrared Bacteria Sterilizers use asbestos-free ceramic core heater elements to provide 1,500° F (815° C) of infrared heat. They sterilize platinum and nichrome loops, needles, glass tubes, pipet mouths, and many other instruments. Available in 120-V and 230-V versions.

They sterilize platinum and nichrome loops, needles, glass tubes, pipet mouths, and many other instruments. Compact and convenient, Carolina® Infrared Bacteria Sterilizers are great for use in anaerobic and aerobic chambers.
The sterilizer's heater element is safely enclosed to protect users from accidental contact. A handy "standby" temperature setting extends the element's usable life. To replace the heater element in the base models, order item #703419 Replacement Heater Element, 115 V, for base model item #703400; order item #703419E Replacement Heater Element, 230 V, for base model items #703400C and #703400D.
The ergonomic Tilt models (items #703403, #703403C, #703403D, #703399, #703399C, and #703399D) improve efficiency and reduce fatigue. The Tilt XL models (items #703399, #703399C, and #703399D) have a bigger chamber (35 mm diam) to sterilize larger tube and flask mouths.
All sterilizers are available in 120-V and 230-V versions. Optional accessories for the base and Tilt models only include a Loop Holder Attachment (item #703401) that keeps loop handles from overheating and melting during sterilization, and a Slide Dryer Attachment (item #703402) for drying up to 3 slides quickly and safely.
