Animal antiserum containing antibody that will neutralize phage T4r+ infectivity. Antiserum also effective against serologically related phages T2 and T4r as determined by plaque formation in E. coli B; not effective against phage ΦX174. Excellent for studying the kinetics of viral neutralization and for inactivating unabsorbed phage in growth experiments. Set contains 1 mL antiserum, 3 mL phage, and an agar slant culture of host bacteria. With instructions and flowsheet. Note: Refrigerate coliphage and antiserum until use; do not freeze. Keep bacteria culture and agar at room temperature.
