Grades 9-12. Students investigate invasive species by performing 2 engaging activities. In the first, they explore how the addition of a second, more efficient, predator affects an existing predator's population. In the second activity, students monitor a simulated ecosystem of colored squares. They sample the ecosystem using quadrats and examine the effect of an introduced species on 2 native species. Kit accommodates a class of up to 32 students working in groups of 4.
