Students use Daphnia and Casper Fish™ to observe the differences between open and closed circulatory systems. In the inquiry activity, students monitor Daphnia's heart rate to investigate the organism's response to various environmental changes. The 8-Station Deluxe Kit includes enough materials for a class of 32 students working in groups of 4, plus 2-1/2-gal aquarium and setup materials for Casper Fish™. Deluxe kit comes with a voucher to request perishable materials later because the aquarium must be established (set up 48 hr) before fish arrive.
