Introduce students to biotechnology as they extract their own DNA from cheek cells. Follow this activity with a setup of 5 stations, each introducing a different aspect of biotechnology: cloning, DNA fingerprinting, the Human Genome Project, genetic modification, and stem cells. Each station provides basic information on the topic, with all topics connected by the theme of bioethics. Includes enough supplies for at least 30 students working in groups.
