Description
The Button Quail is also called the Chinese Painted Quail. Its small blue-green or brown eggs hatch in about 16 days; birds mature in 6 weeks. Mature Button Quail are 2 to 2 1/2¿ H. Speckled brown and white Coturnix Quail eggs hatch in about 17 days; birds mature in 6 weeks. Mature males weigh 3 1/2 to 5 oz, and mature females, 4 to 5 1/2 oz.
Mature Coturnix of both genders are about 6¿ H. Coturnix females can begin laying eggs at 7 weeks old and males may begin crowing at 5 to 6 weeks old or during peak breeding season. A unit contains 24 eggs, 12 of each species. Carolina guarantees a 50% hatch rate. Eggs and chicks can be incubated and later housed together.
Note: We must receive your order 2 weeks before desired use date to ensure delivery date. Eggs are shipped on Tuesdays only. Please have your incubator regulated 24 hours in advance of receiving the eggs.
