Grade 3 and up. Transform STEM into STEAM and get the electricity and students' creative juices flowing! Squishy Circuits® use conductive and insulating dough to teach students about electrical circuits, without the need for breadboards or soldering. Just add batteries and let the fun begin. There's no limit to the inventions students can create using colorful Squishy Circuits® dough and componentscolorful LEDs, buzzers, switches, and motors. The Group Kit is great for classrooms, makerspaces, and more!
Every Group Kit is packed in a sturdy plastic case and includes materials for up to 30 students working in groups (except for AA batteries and dough, which are needed but not supplied). We suggest purchasing 2 Squishy Circuits® Dough Kits (item #756413), which provides the correct amount of conductive and insulating dough. Remember that making the dough can be a fun group activity! We would still suggest purchasing Squishy Circuits® White Insulating Dough (item #756414), though, because the purchased version works much better than alternatives. Note: The dough contains gluten. The conductive dough will dry out if left out of the container, but the insulating dough will not dry out. Never connect a Squishy Circuits® LED directly to the battery holder. The LED's longer leg should be connected to the red battery holder side. Squishy Circuits® LEDs are consumables when used in Squishy Circuits®. The terminals will break and erode during use. Each LED can be expected to run continuously for a few hours before it needs to be replaced.
