The Carolina® Integrated Electrophoresis System combines an electrophoresis apparatus, a power supply, and a blue light transilluminator into a single user-friendly unit that delivers an authentic, dependable experience. Capable of producing results in less than 20 minutes, the system's timer can be set between 1 and 99 minutes to automatically turn off the power, preventing the loss of bands running off the gel from accidental long run times. The power supply allows users to control the voltage by selecting 100 V or 150 V. Gels can be cast with one or two 6/8-tooth combs, providing up to 16 wells in a single run. And the transparent amber safety lid lets you view DNA migration in real time.
For ultimate convenience, Carolina® GoGel™ with GelGreen® single-use gel packs (items #217094 and #217095) can be used with this system to make preparing gels as easy as open, squeeze, microwave, and pour.
