Product Details
Antennapedia (Antp73b) chromosome 3 mutant Drosophila (fruit flies) demonstrate a striking autosomal dominant mutation in which the antennae have been replaced by fully developed legs.

For a complete guide on maintaining and studying Drosophila, including how to culture, anesthetize, and score them, and the genetic notations, consider our Carolina® Drosophila Manual (item #452620).

Note: It takes up to 2 weeks from the date of the vial for adults to develop. When culture arrives, remove cap but leave plug in place. Keep culture out of sunlight and maintain at 68–77° F (20–25° C). Some mutations in Drosophila have high fitness costs and/or variable expression within a population. Additional stock purification steps may be required when working with this stock.
