Diablo Highway™ activities are available as a full kit; as standalone lab kits that focus on a specific forensic topic within the perspective of the Diablo Highway™ case; as refills that allow kits to be reused; and as fully online activity packs.
The Diablo Highway™ Full Kit (item #212188), which contains 11 lessons and 9 lab activities, provides sufficient materials for a class of 30 working in groups, plus teacher's guide, student's guide copy master, Story of the Crime booklet copy master, and 1-year access to the Online 3-D Evidence Viewer.
Diablo Highway™ lab kits (sold separately) focus on forensic science topics such as fiber analysis, shoe impressions, fingerprint analysis, and more. While the lab kits are based on details from the Diablo Highway™ Full Kit crime scene, they can also be used as standalone activities.
The Evidence Refill (item #212287) replenishes the full kit's evidence, and the Consumables Refill (item #212288) its consumable materials. The Shoe Impression Lab Kit Refill (item #212289) replenishes shoe impression materials in the full kit or the Shoe Impression Lab Kit—Option B (item #212284).
The Diablo Highway™: Online Forensic Science Lab Activity packs (items #212290, #212291, #212292, and #212293) convert the Diablo Highway™ activities to online learning. Each pack contains 11 lessons and 9 lab activities for middle and high school students. Students access the material via a web browser on any device connected to the Internet, including desktop computers, Chromebook® computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Each pack contains 1 or more teacher licenses and a quantity of student licenses.
