Living Organism Care Information

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Two shipments were attempted for this order. The first shipment contained the wrong procedure for care of the eggs. When I spoke with the representatives, the error was acknowledged and a replacement order was sent. The second shipment was sent with a different procedure for the eggs. Despite following the procedure, none of the eggs developed. Last year's shipment worked well and I was pleased with the results. I am the science coordinator for my elementary school and the teachers have lost confidence in this product. It is difficult to gain the confidence of classroom teachers to try science experiments when a product does not work as expected. The classroom teachers and students are disappointed and it is difficult for them to understand the challenges of raising animals. Given the high expense of the product and the even greater expense of shipping, it will be difficult to convince the elementary teachers to spend their money on future purchases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Living Organisms, but Quite Expensive This is the first time I ordered living organisms from Carolina. I am a science coordinator for an elementary science program. The eggs arrived in excellent condition and hatched a couple of days after arrival. Aside from the significant expense of the product, shipping, and handling, I am extremely satisfied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cons I ordered tadpoles for a research project at the college and only 11 tadpoles emerged. I followed every step to acclimating the tadpoles to the water, and feed. I only have 6 left since 4 died for no reason, the rest look fine, but its unfortunate that no more hatched we waited a while thinking that they may hatch at different time points, but the eggs looked like they were about to hatch and then didn't. We kept the water oxygenated with a small air stone set on a low setting so that the water doesn't move so much. I do not know what else to do especially since we need this experiment to go through.
