In Peptide, players make thoughtful selections from a number of openly available Organelle Cards, creating an interactive, open-card drafting mechanic that requires students to correctly apply their knowledge of protein synthesis to build protein chains. Selected Organelle Cards award players with either resources or actions that reflect the real function of each organelle. For example, the mitochondria provides ATP tokens, the nucleus provides RNA, and aminoacyl synthetase collects amino acids. Each player uses their resources and actions to link Amino Acid Cards side-by-side, in an effort to build the protein chain worth the most points. Accurate components and gameplay make this game a must play for reviewing the central dogma.
