Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lab Worksheet are poorly written As a new physics teacher, I buy lab kits to make my life easier by getting a set of all the lab worksheet and materials together, but the lab worksheet with this kit are very poor. There aren't any spots for students to write their answers and there are very few diagrams making the lab directions hard to follow. If you buy this kit, you will still need to write your own worksheets. I haven't calculated if the kit saves you money versus buying the materials separately, but don't buy it for the lab worksheets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not great! This kit has some neat things (prisms, lenses, mirrors, diffraction gratings...) and it comes with a nice lab booklet with worksheets and labs you can use. Unfortunately, optics is not in our California physics standards and I found little use for this equipment. The color paddles do not work well (the colors don't really mix), and the flashlights are big and bulky- its nicer to just buy some small ones. The batteries I ended up using for the electricity labs! The labs using the lenses are very short and basically it asks the students to look through the lenses and explain what they see. Not much of a lab. But overall, I can't complain since its good quality equipment and you get what is advertised. The prisms are really nice for showing virtual images and the mirrors can be bent to show convex and concave mirror images.
