Description

Students explore osmosis. Using a semipermeable cell membrane model, students investigate rate of osmosis. They then design an experiment to compare the rate of osmosis between a common beverage and cell containing saline solution that is isotonic to human blood plasma; differentiate between solution types; view cellular transport using apparatus; and replicate the effect of cells moving between salinity levels. Includes enough supplies for at least 30 students working in groups.
