With optional rotors (not included), other common tubes can be used, including PCR strips, hematocrit tubes, and even 5.0-mL centrifuge tubes. Advanced microprocessor controls allow you to set and display rotational speed in rpm or rcf; retrieve saved programs; adjust accel/decel rates; and change the end-of-run alarm tone. The Z216-MK Refrigerated Centrifuge (item #214067) also has a powerful compressor-driven cooling system that maintains temperatures as low as -20° C and can reach 4° C (from room temperature) in less than 10 minutes.
