Description

With this kit, students conduct 6 basic, illustrative experiments to explain the relationship that salinity, temperature, density, and pressure have to the ocean and its currents. Using their results as a basis for research, students then divide into 3 groups to investigate how a new dam affects a river and the small bay into which it flows, what would happen to the oceans and their inhabitants if the polar ice caps were to melt, and what would happen to the oceans and their inhabitants if the global temperature dropped to 0° C. Includes instructions and materials for 24 students.
