The Go Direct® 3-Axis Magnetic Field Sensor measures the components of the magnetic field along 3 orthogonal axes. This allows you to determine the magnitude and direction of the magnetic field at any point in space. If desired, you can measure the field along only 2 axes, or even one axis, choosing the direction that is best for the experiment. Rechargeable battery offers long battery life. Includes micro USB cable.

Product Details
The Go Direct® 3-Axis Magnetic Field Sensor measures the components of the magnetic field along 3 orthogonal axes. This allows you to determine the magnitude and direction of the magnetic field at any point in space. If desired, you can measure the field along only 2 axes, or even one axis, choosing the direction that is best for the experiment.

Use the Go Direct® 3-Axis Magnetic Field Sensor in a variety of experiments:

  • Quantify the magnetic field strength of induced magnets
  • Determine the declination and inclination of Earth's magnetic field at your location using vector components
  • Investigate the relationship between magnetic field strength, coils per unit length, and current in the center of a solenoid

This sensor uses Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) technology and can only be used wirelessly with devices that support BLE technology running the appropriate software. Otherwise, connect the sensor to your device using the included USB cable.

Water Resistance
The wand portion of Go Direct® 3-Axis Magnetic Field Sensor is water resistant and can be submerged in water. No part of the handle is submersible.

Rechargeable Battery—Ready When You Are
The robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation when using the sensor wirelessly. Monitor battery life directly from the award-winning Vernier Graphical Analysis® Pro app, as well as LabQuest® 3. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students.

Wireless or Wired—The Flexibility to Choose
The Go Direct® sensor connects directly to your mobile device and Chromebook™ or other computer using the Vernier Graphical Analysis® Pro app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. The sensor also can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® technology, allowing you to choose the solution best for your classroom or laboratory.
