With a range of ±1 A, this sensor is ideal for use in most "battery and bulb" circuits. It also simplifies your experimental setup by connecting to your device wirelessly via Bluetooth® or wired via USB. Rechargeable battery has long battery life. Includes micro USB cable.

Tariffs have driven up the cost of this item significantly. We apologize for the price increase. We are absorbing some of the impact to help teachers but are forced to pass most of it along.

Product Details
The Go Direct® Current Probe is designed for exploring the basic principles of electricity. Use the probe to measure currents in low voltage AC and DC circuits. With a range of ±1 A, this sensor is ideal for use in most "battery and bulb" circuits. It also simplifies your experimental setup by connecting to your device wirelessly via Bluetooth® or wired via USB. The wireless connection eliminates additional cables that can clutter the lab bench.

Use the Go Direct® Current Probe in a variety of ways:

  • Capture small currents like those produced by a magnet falling through a coil
  • Combine with the Go Direct® Voltage Probe (item #118033, sold separately) to investigate Ohm's law or series and parallel circuits
  • Explore RC and RLC circuits

Rechargeable Battery—Ready When You Are
The robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation when using the sensor wirelessly. Monitor battery life directly from the award-winning Vernier Graphical Analysis® app, as well as LabQuest® 3. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students.

Wireless or Wired—The Flexibility to Choose
The Go Direct® sensor connects directly to your mobile device and Chromebook™ or other computer using the Vernier Graphical Analysis® app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. The sensor also can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® technology, allowing you to choose the solution best for your classroom or laboratory.
