Description

Unlike a traditional electroscope, the Go Direct® Static Charge Sensor functions as an electronic electroscope to make quantitative measurements. Numerical measurements improve many electrostatics experiments, such as charging by induction, charging by friction, and charging by contact. The sensor also can be used to determine charge polarity. Comes with BNC/alligator clips cable and micro USB cable.

Tariffs have driven up the cost of this item significantly. We apologize for the price increase. We are absorbing some of the impact to help teachers but are forced to pass most of it along.

Product Details
The completely wireless Go Direct® Static Charge Sensor provides students and educators with enhanced accuracy in measurements of positive and negative charges. Unlike a traditional electroscope, this sensor offers a means for quantitative measurement and analysis of positive and negative charges of objects that would not be possible in a traditional lab—such as measuring the charge on a balloon.

Students can visualize their charge readings in real time using the Vernier Graphical Analysis® and Vernier Graphical Analysis® Pro apps, allowing immediate analysis of experimental data and export of that data to other applications. Coupling this sensor with a Vernier® Electrostatics Kit (not included) means students can participate in new, deeper levels of experimentation.

Rechargeable Battery—Ready When You Are
The robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation when using the sensor wirelessly. Monitor battery life directly from the award-winning Vernier Graphical Analysis® app, as well as LabQuest® 3. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students.

Wireless or Wired—The Flexibility to Choose
The Go Direct® sensor connects directly to your mobile device and Chromebook™ or other computer using the Vernier Graphical Analysis® app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. The sensor also can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® technology, allowing you to choose the solution best for your classroom or laboratory.
