Grades 6–12. Newton's third law of motion takes off as design teams launch balloon-powered rockets to explore the forces behind movement. Simple horizontal or vertical tasks develop problem-solving and engineering skills as students modify a basic balloon rocket to meet challenges such as farthest distance or highest payload lift.
