Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great specimen Students love this dissection. The sharks are good size and females are like a wrapped gift- pregnant or not?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not the same old dogfish I have been buying and dissecting SPINY dogfish from Carolina for close to 20 years and in the past two, the sharks sent to me are NOT spiny dogfish, I'm not sure what they are exactly, but out of the 14 I ordered this year, only 1 was a SPINY dogfish. There are significant differences: teeth, gills, organ placement, just to name a few, that make it INCREASINGLY harder to follow the guides and diagrams. These replacement sharks are much harder to cut and have more dangerous teeth than the spiny dogfish. Please bring the old guys back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality These were fine, but they were all male. One would hope that Carolina automatically determine males and females them and send some of each OR give us the option to select the male or female and how many of each when we order them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for high school dissection I had my honors students dissect the shark. They loved it. It is a complex dissection and I believe doing a dissection you should thoroughly examine and make connections with all of the organs. I felt my CP classes would not have gotten much out of the shark dissection because it would have been too overwhelming. My honors students spent 2 full days dissecting alone. Organs looked great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never disappointed I've used various sizes and injections of these sharks for 12 years and I've never been disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SAD If I bought a dress for $50.00 I would want it not ripped and stained. Their tails where cut practically off and splattered all over with Pink and Yellow dye. the dye was suppose to stay in the shark. Would love a REFUND or a NEW SHARK in BAG instead of liquid Bucket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Neat! Amazing, awe inspiring look at the design of a shark's reproductive system. Our specimen was really large and had 4 baby sharks as well as an additional 4 eggs. They are more expensive, but we only bought one pregnant shark to share. My students took the baby sharks home with plans to add them to a jar of isopropyl alcohol for long term preservation. Well worth the extra cost!
