Models are powerful tools for teaching science, as they provide useful simplifications of structures and processes, helping to make the unseen seen and the complex simple. Using the colorful parts provided, students will assemble a model of a frog. They'll then add the organs to the model to include the heart, lungs, liver, gall bladder, spleen, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, small intestine, large intestine, urinary bladder, kidneys, adrenal body, fat bodies, cloaca, and male and female parts.

Following assembly, they can conduct a dissection within the classroom or at home to see how the parts interconnect. The model is also an excellent tool to look at different organ systems, as well as for comparative anatomy.
