Description

Measure human breathing patterns quickly with the Go Direct® Respiration Belt, which uses a force sensor and an adjustable nylon strap around the chest to measure respiration effort and respiration rate. An LED indicator provides feedback so belt tension can be optimized. The rechargeable battery offers long battery life. Go Direct® sensors can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® technology.

Product Details
Measure human breathing patterns quickly with the Go Direct® Respiration Belt, which connects wirelessly via Bluetooth® or wired via USB to your device. The Go Direct® Respiration Belt uses a force sensor and an adjustable nylon strap around the chest to measure respiration effort and respiration rate. An LED indicator provides feedback so belt tension can be optimized. Respiration rate is reported in the Vernier Graphical Analysis® app, which makes comparison studies between subjects or experiments easy to do.

The Go Direct® Respiration Belt can be used in a variety of experiments:

  • Observe how respiration rate changes after exercise or breath holding
  • Observe how respiration effort (the force exerted by the chest during respiration) changes after exercise or breath holding
  • Measure steps and step rate during a study with the built-in pedometer

Product Features
Rechargeable Battery—Ready When You Are

The robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation when using the sensor wirelessly. Monitor battery life directly from the award-winning Vernier Graphical Analysis® app, as well as the LabQuest® 3 device. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable, and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students.

Wireless or Wired—The Flexibility to Choose
The Go Direct® sensors connect directly to your mobile device, Chromebook® computer, desktop computer, or tablet using the Vernier Graphical Analysis® app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. The sensor also can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® technology, allowing you to choose the best solution for your classroom or laboratory.
