Students will experience the wonders of the animal life cycle as they observe a caterpillar transform into an adult butterfly. With The Life Cycle of Butterflies, you'll help students develop skills in carefully observing details, recording and communicating observations, understanding the needs of living things. Students study the painted lady butterfly larva and learn its basic needs. They watch and record observations as the caterpillar crawls, eats, rests, and sheds its skin.
Unit Kit comes with a Teacher's Guide, a Teacher's Tools CD, and the materials (including a voucher for prepaid delivery of the living organisms) needed for a class of 30. The Refurbishment Set replenishes all kit consumables.
The two use kit comes with all of the great materials you'd expect from the STC Program along with a box containing the materials for a second, non-concurrent use. All you need to do is set the box aside until you are ready for it.
