In this Science Buddies science project, you will determine if bacterial resistance to a disinfectant, after repeated exposure to a disinfectant, depends on the concentration of the disinfectant. You can customize this kit to include the living K-12 E. coli, microcentrifuge tubes, cotton-tipped applicators, and other supplies needed to complete this experiment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grew very well I got the vial in good shape, left it overnight, and was able to get really great growth. Just using a cotton swab produced fairly small colonies but using an innoculating hook spread out the bacteria and I was able to get almost full coverage. I’d definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great results ! We used this for a middle school experiment . It was very easy to use and without any mess. It would have been nice to include clear instructions for storage of the product - we refrigerated it briefly by mistake but it still worked out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great forceps I purchased the straight edge forceps for my daughter's H.S. science project. She had to put small disks onto a plate with agar. They worked well for her and were easy to hold and control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for science fair Ordered these for son's 8th grade science fair project. Arrived exactly at time promised. Stored in refrigerator until ready to use. Plate inoculation was easy. Incubated in basement. Grew beautiful (actually disgusting!) specimens in a few days. Son was amazed and fascinated. Science fair conquered!!
