Grades 6–10. What's the difference between mitosis and meiosis? In this group of interactive whiteboard activities for STC-Secondary™, students match the phase of mitosis with its description, illustrate the phases of mitosis through a sequence activity, and complete a reading comprehension activity describing the process of meiosis. Students illustrate how nutrients and energy are passed from organism to organism by completing a food chain activity and vocabulary review. In addition, they illustrate the possible energy flow in a food web. Finally, students work in groups to discuss human impact. They determine whether actions are friendly or unfriendly toward Earth, and propose more Earth-friendly alternatives for the actions that are unfriendly toward Earth. Access for 32 students per year for 60 months.
