- Unit Card Sets feature real-world phenomena, get students thinking and talking about science in the world around them, or in places they’ve never been.
- Literacy Articles discuss real-life applications of science content or phenomena.
- Take-Home Science Activities are science investigations students can do with their family. Each includes a family letter and activity sheets for students to record their observation and data.
- Science in the News prompts students to research and report on the science news of the day! Challenge older students to find a current event to research and report on. Assign an age-appropriate research project from today’s news for younger students.

Science Resources for Learning from Home, Grades 9-12
Carolina offers many materials and activities that can be used outside the classroom. All should be used with adult supervision. For safety, users should follow all instructions and should not attempt to substitute or reuse materials unless the instructions say to do so. Supervising adults must review the activities provided, ensure they are appropriate for the student’s maturity level, and ensure all safety recommendations are followed by students. Safety is paramount whether at school or home.
